KEEP PURSUING YOUR GOALS

“And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them” (Judges 8:4).

Gideon was a judge and military leader in Israel. He and a band of three hundred followers went on a military expedition. As they pursued the enemy forces, they became exhausted, hungry and faint. Yet, they refused to give up on their pursuit.

First, there was faith in their hearts. They believed that God who sent them on this assignment would grant them success (Judges 8:7). Faith is a spiritual force that delivers results beyond natural human capacity. Faith can give strength to a weak body and cause it to achieve the impossible. Faith has capacity to downsize obstacles, diminish their significance and make them seem like nothing. By faith, you can accomplish great things and achieve every goal God has put in your heart.

Secondly, Gideon and his men were determined in their pursuit. It is one thing to have faith, it is another thing to be determined. Determination puts faith to work and sustains faith at work. Sometimes, a man of faith could face discouraging circumstances but determination will give fuel to his faith. When determination accompanies your faith, you become unstoppable, even in the face of the most daunting challenges. If you are determined to succeed in any given pursuit, you will arrive at your destination.

Beloved, keep pursuing your dreams and refuse to give up. God has equipped you with all you need to succeed. Believe that God will help you as you keep working and you will find a miracle waiting for you at the end of your pursuit.
