“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed“ (Acts 19:20).
Every challenge that comes to a Christian is an opportunity to prove the capability of the word of God to fix the issues of life. Problems are opportunities to confirm the power in God’s word. Tests give us the chance to prove that the scripture is true, reliable and dependable.
So, whenever the devil comes with a challenge, problem or test, throw the scripture at it. That was what Jesus did when He was tempted. To every assault from the devil, Jesus replied, “It is written”. Beloved, what is written still remains written and the potency of what is written has not abated.
But be careful not to fall into the error of confessing the word of God as mere liturgy or religious routine. It is very important that when you apply the scripture, it must be mixed with faith, otherwise it will not profit you (Hebrews 4:2). The Church in the wilderness received the word of God, moved at its motion, but did not profit from it because they never believed.
When God’s word grows in your heart, flows from your lips and is mixed with faith, mountains will move, situations must change, sicknesses shall be healed, afflictions will lose their power and the devil will remain permanently defeated. With the word of God, you will always prevail because it is designed to make you prevail.
Friends, God’s word works. It has worked for many, and if you also apply it by faith, it will work for you. Go forth and win by the word, in Jesus name.
