“And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians” (Exodus 12:36).
The supernatural usually occurs when the unseen forces of God are deployed to procure favour for a man. Supernatural favour is when people who have no reason to be kind to you begins to do you good.
The Bible says that when the Lord is pleased with a man, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him (Proverbs 16:7). The Israelites experienced this in one of the most outstanding manifestations of supernatural favour when the Lord brought them into tender favour with the Egyptians.
First, consider that there was no love lost between the Israelites and the Egyptians, the one being under bitter servitude of the other. Usually, it is most unlikely that any oppressed people would enjoy such magnitude of favour from their oppressors as that which Israel obtained from the Egyptians.
Secondly, the Egyptians were at the time going through the most harrowing period of their lives occasioned by the God of Israel. Moses, the Hebrew leader had grievously tormented Egypt with ten devastating plagues, bringing Egypt to her knees economically, socially and in other aspects of life, the final one being the death of the firstborn of all Egyptians.
But in their woes, while mourning and weeping for their dead sons, the Egyptians were moved by God to favour Israel and surrender all their treasures of gold, silver and precious items to them. May such supernatural favour which defies human logic be your experience henceforth in Jesus name.
