“As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever” (Psalms 125:2).
It is so sweet to have a genuine relationship with God. Such a relationship usually produces supernatural experiences from time to time. One of the things you will enjoy when you are in a proper alignment with God is supernatural protection.
The promise of supernatural protection is found all over the Scriptures, covering all aspects of human life. For example, our passage for further reading details the many ways by which God is ready to protect us. And this will not be by swords and guns, but by His almighty presence. Thus, today’s Bible verse for meditation says God uses His presence to surround His children as a shield, making it impossible for the rod of the wicked to afflict them (Psalms 125:2-3).
Such supernatural protection is possible because God takes responsibility for the protection of His people. He protected David from the lion and the bear (1 Samuel 17:20). He protected Daniel when he was thrown into the lion’s den (Daniel 6:22). Israel also enjoyed supernatural protection in Goshen so that all the plagues and pestilences that engulfed Egypt could touch them because the Lord Himself was a wall of protection round about His people. And then, all through the forty years of their wilderness journey, God protected them by the pillars of cloud and fire.
Beloved, you also can enjoy God’s supernatural protection if you will put your trust in Him (Psalms 125:1). May the Lord keep you safe from harm and give you all round peace in Jesus name.
