SURRENDER MORE (I)

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1).

Submission to God is fundamental to Christianity. In fact, you cannot become a Christian without first surrendering your life to the Lord. That is what it means to experience the new birth and become born again.

As touching your relationship with God, everything depends on your level of surrender. You will enjoy God relative to the measure of your surrender. You will also be sustained as a believer in Christ by your continued yielding unto the Lord. Today, God is asking you to take your submission to Him to a higher level and surrender more.

Your level of surrender will determine many things. For example, it will determine how far God can use you. God cannot use you if you do not yield to Him because He is only interested in yielded vessels. Your gifts, skills and the qualities you possess are not as important as your availability and submission to God. The more you surrender your will, strength, time and resources to God, the more He can and will use you. If you surrender only a little part of yourself to God, He will be able to use you a little.

Moses kept complaining when God wanted to use him. Then God told him to throw down his rod. That was a parable to illustrate the power of surrender, that God would use him to do wonders if he surrendered.

Beloved, if you also will surrender more to God, He will use you beyond your dreams.
