SURRENDER MORE (III)

“Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they” (Exodus 12:50).

There is great value in surrendering to the Lord. We forfeit too many good things when we try to be wiser than God and fail to surrender all to Him.

Another important dimension to this matter is that the measure of your surrender to God will determine how much of His protection you can access. You must be willing to follow God’s instructions to enjoy His protection. All through the time that God was punishing Egypt with the instrument different plagues, the children of Israel enjoyed divine protection and their properties were preserved as long as they surrendered to God and obeyed His instructions.

The ultimate plague took place on the night the children of Israel were to leave Egypt. Then the Lord decided to carry out one final deadly plague upon Egypt wherein every first born son in the land would die. God instructed that each Hebrew household should kill a male lamb of the first year which must be without blemish. They were to use the blood of the lamb to mark the lintel and door posts of their houses (Exodus 12:5-7).

Obviously, as always, God had laid out the path of divine protection for the Israelites. Those who submitted to the divine counsel lived. But those who made themselves bigger than God’s instructions and despised them perished. May we not perish in Jesus name.

Beloved, you must surrender to God to enjoy His protection. The more you surrender, the surer will be your access to divine preservation. May God help us in Jesus name.
