“And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times” (1 Kings 18:43).
Every believer is entitled to the supernatural, and prayer is a vital key to access that realm. But sometimes, when we pray, it would appear that our prayer is not working. When you find yourself in such a situation, please don’t be discouraged. Don’t give up because it is only a ploy by the devil to rob you of your right to the supernatural.
In pursuit of the supernatural, Elijah went to pray on Mount Carmel. Initially, it was as though his prayer availed nothing. His servant, who was watching out for the physical result of the prayer said nothing was happening. But Elijah was not discouraged.
Jesus taught that those who will experience the supernatural must never allow whatever is contrary to God’s word to move them. If you are contending for supernatural speed, you should stand firm by faith and not be shaken by the negative things you see, hear or feel.
Jairus came to Jesus, asking Him to come heal his sick daughter. While they were on their way, a messenger came to inform that the girl had died, and that there was no point troubling Jesus any further. Immediately, Jesus addressed Jairus, telling him to ignore what the messenger said, but that he should only believe. They eventually got to the house and of course, Jesus raised the dead damsel back to life.
Beloved, don’t be moved by what you see in the physical, though they be facts. Only believe in what God has said, for that is the only truth. His promises are always yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). They will surely come to pass if you believe. Receive grace to always rest on the word or promises of God.
