Today’s Message – 2022-02-08

Oluwamuyiwa Okuseinde

“My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth” (Psalms 121:2).

The Scripture portrays God as our Helper. Not only that, the Psalmist went further to present Him as Help personified (Psalms 115:9). Therefore, if you need help in any area of life, you should feel free to call upon the Lord.

Please be assured that help is always present with God. Indeed, true help that is devoid of undesirable side effects and unwanted negative attachments is only available with God. Only God is guaranteed to help you for free. For the Christian therefore, there is no need to go to Egypt or look elsewhere for help.

Remember also that until God helps you, no man can successfully help you; not even the king (2 Kings 6:26-27). Sometimes, we think certain people should help us and we blame them for not doing so. Yet, the real fact is that they could not help because God has not given them room to do so. Besides, some of the people we expect to help us are themselves looking for help!

The primary channel that God has provided by which we may seek help from Him is prayer. If you pray to God in accordance to His will as expressed in the Scriptures, He will answer you. The prayer of faith will always get the attention of God. The help you require may not come in your preferred way, but it will come because God is faithful.

Call unto God right now for the help you need. It does not matter how big the help you require is or how difficult you think it might be. Jehoshaphat was facing certain death when he cried out to God for help. The Lord answered immediately and helped him (2 Chronicles 18:31). If you call God into your situation, He will do more than what man can do for you. Your help is coming!
