AGREE WITH GOD

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3).

There are certain fundamental truths that govern life. One of them is the principle of agreement in relationships. The quality of any relationship will be dependent on the degree to which the associating components agree. The same is true of our walk with God.

The quality of your walk with God is shaped by the depth of your agreement with Him. To agree is to have a meeting point where your thoughts, visions and aspirations converge. It is a state of unity and alignment in purpose and methods of realising those unified intentions. You are in agreement with God when His desire becomes your pursuit and you are ready to go about it in His own way.

Many are experiencing delays, difficulties and frustrations because they are in a state of disagreement with God. They want things this way, but God wants it the other way. They want it now, but God says it is not yet time. On another matter, they would rather delay to take action, but God says now is the time. Unfortunately, there are many Christians who are also suffering due to disalignment.

To agree with God for a fruitful and hitch free walk with Him, you must first know Him and understand His ways beyond the dictates of regular religious practices. Moses realized this after many years of interacting with God and prayed to know Him and understand His ways. Similarly, Paul prayed to know Christ (Philippians 3:10).

Beloved, please seek to know God and understand His ways. Then agree quickly with Him, and your passage through life will be devoid of debilitating hiccups.
