THE BLESSINGS OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTION (III)

“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God” (John 20:17).

The crucifixion of Jesus brought sorrow and sadness to the disciples. In fact, “they mourned and wept” because their Lord had been brutally taken away (Mark 16:10).

But following the resurrection, the angel who was found at the sepulchre gave Mary and her company the task of breaking the news to the other disciples. Consequently, they departed quickly with great joy to tell the good news to them (Matthew 28:8). Immediately, joy replaced sorrow in the heart of the apostles and other followers of Christ because of the good news that He was risen.

However, just as that good news terminated the bad news of His gruesome crucifixion and painful death, the same good news is designed to terminate every bad news intended for you. If you have committed your life to Jesus, please understand that every bad news intended for you has just been cancelled. Thus, if perchance you are presently suffering from the depressing effect of any form of bad news, shake it off because the power of His resurrection is available to change things for you.

Because Jesus is alive, you can be sure that your best days are ahead. God will surely make you to hear joy and gladness (Psalms 51:8). By the power of His resurrection, I pray that it shall be good news for you now and forever, in Jesus name.
