DON’T GIVE IN TO FEAR

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15).

When we commit our life to Jesus, we are delivered from the bondage of fear and receive the Spirit of God. God does not want us to fear because fear is of the devil.

Fear has torment (1 John 4:18). When the devil wants to torment a man, he introduces fear into his life. That is why you must not allow fear in your heart, because if you do, you will be tormented. Again, fear makes you look for alternatives to God and to faith in Him. Satan brings fear to create confusion, so you can step out of faith and abandon the way of God.

Finally, don’t give in to fear because the ultimate lot of the fearful is absolutely unpalatable and undesirable. The Bible says the fearful shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, and suffer a second death (Revelation 21:8). The reality is that fear makes people die twice.

You can overcome fear and put it at bay. First, increase in the knowledge of the Lord and of His words. Those who know the Lord will fear Him, and then they will have nothing else to fear. Another antidote to fear is deliberate boldness in the Holy Ghost, for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Beloved, quit the company of the fearful so you can enjoy constant victory in life. Fear not; trust God, and have faith in Him (Psalms 56:3). It pays.
