“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught” (Luke 5:4).
Peter had toiled all night and caught nothing. It was as if a spiritual embargo had been placed upon his hands and whatsoever he touched was bound to fail.
It was in this state of frustration, working without results, toiling without success and being greeted by failure on every side that the Master stepped into the life of Peter. After using his boat as a pulpit and having finished his sermon, Jesus told Peter to launch out into the deep and let down his nets for a catch. By implication, the same hand that had worked all night without results was now being empowered by the authority of the word of Christ to become productive.
Beloved, one word from the Lord is enough to terminate the regime of failure and unproductivity in your life, just as it happened with Peter. His situation was so transformed that even when armed with nothing more than an ordinary hook, Peter was guaranteed to secure an extraordinary catch. He once caught a fish with money in its mouth (Matthew 17:27). That was the ultimate confirmation that the blessing of the Lord had come upon the hands of Peter and that he had no connection with failure anymore.
When your hands are blessed, nothing fails and whatever your hands find to do is greeted with divine prosperity. Today, by the word of the Lord, I decree that no good thing shall die in your hand anymore and failure is removed far from you in Jesus name.
