ALL BARRIERS SHALL BE REMOVED

“I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron” (Isaiah 45:2).

God always has good plans for His children. His thoughts towards us are ever good and never evil (Jeremiah 29:11). But as it often is the case, the devil would usually place obstacles before God’s people to deny them functional access to the good things He has prepared for them.

When God delivered Israel from Egyptian bondage, His stated purpose was to settle them in the land of Canaan as their inheritance. But the city of Jericho, among others, stood as a barrier between the children of Israel and their promised inheritance. Until that barrier was dealt with, God’s people could not experience the fulfilment of what was promised.

Today, Satan has not changed. He continues to place obstacles in the path of God’s children. Sometimes, he would raise up adversaries who become stumbling blocks. At other times, he could use institutional biases, traditions of men or government regulations to frustrate the advances of God’s people. But whatever forms they may take, the word of the Lord to us today is that all barriers shall be removed.

Barriers are demolished by divine strategies. For example, it was the Lord who gave Joshua the appropriate strategy to overcome the barrier that Jericho represented. In today’s verse for meditation, the Lord spoke very directly that He would personally take down the barriers before His anointed.

Beloved, as you step into the new month, may the Lord break every barrier before you and make the path to success smooth for you in Jesus name.
