THE BLESSINGS OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTION (I)

“Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also” (John 14:19).

Well ahead of His death and resurrection, Jesus had told His disciples of the things that would happen and how beneficial His resurrection would be to them and all who believe in Him.

The first benefit that comes to us because Christ’s resurrection is victory over death. By His resurrection, Jesus destroyed him that had the power of death (Hebrews 2:14-15). Because Jesus lives, we shall live also since death has been conquered. Moreover, the life that Christ’s resurrection brings transcends this present world. We have hope of life in this world and eternal life because Jesus lives forever (1 Thessalonians 4:14).

Again, victory over death means nothing dies in your hands anymore. It means that wherever death has been reigning, life has come to take its place. The resurrection power is available towards you to bring life into your marriage, finances, education, business and career. Victory over death means we have been delivered from the bondage of corruption, defeat, retrogression and failure.

Finally, the resurrection of Christ gives us power for newness of life. The Bible says that just as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also have been empowered to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). Old things have indeed passed away and all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Beloved, as long as you are in Christ, death in any form can no longer reign in your life. Life is your portion in everything in Jesus name.
