EVIL SHALL BOW BEFORE GOOD

“The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous” (Proverbs 14:19).

Evil is present everywhere. From the harmful and injurious to the corrupt and wicked, the sorrowful and malicious to the calamitous and destructive, every facet of the society, including the Church, reeks with things that displease God and are distressing to man.

The good news however, is that evil shall ultimately be defeated and good shall triumph. The evil shall bow before the good because God almighty is the power behind the good, while the devil is the force driving evil thoughts, words and deeds. But God always triumphs.

As implied in today’s scripture, please note that evil shall first rise up, for evil cannot bow until it has first lifted itself up. Before his fall, Lucifer also lifted up himself first (Isaiah 14:12-15). But as it was for him, so has it been ordained that every evil activity motivated and instigated against you shall bow.

It must be emphasized that the reign of evil is guaranteed to be short-lived. Evil in any shade does not have capacity to endure for long because it is like a lying tongue which has a short lifespan (Proverbs 12:19). The sword shall not and cannot devour forever (2 Samuel 2:26). For, both the sword and the one who wields it are not God who lives forever.

Joseph’s brothers planned evil against him, but they eventually bowed before the good that Joseph represented. Beloved, rest assured that every evil that rises against you, whether through humans, institutions or spirits, shall bow before you in Jesus name. Only ensure that you stand for God and for the good.
