GIFTS FROM ABOVE

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17).

God gives gifts. From the beginning of creation, God established Himself as an unrivalled giver. Indeed, the last act with which He concluded creation was to give (Genesis 1:29-30). From my spiritual observatory comes a firm signal that God has arranged special gifts for you in this new month.

A gift is usually an expression of the nature, character and state of the giver. Ahasuerus gave gifts according to the state of the king (Esther 2:18). Your gift reflects you and tells who you really are. God gives good gifts because He is good and the very essence of goodness. Surely, therefore, what He has to give to you will be good. Also, the gifts from Him will be perfect because only perfect gifts can come from the perfect One.

I want you to know that gifts by their various definitions and applications are part of our redemption package. When Jesus ascended up on high after paying our ransom with His blood, the Bible says that He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men (Ephesians 4:8).

Now, ask God for your own tailored gifts, gifts that will change your story positively. He gave gift of access to Esther and she was never the same again. As Jesus said, if men, being evil, know how to give good gifts to their children, much more shall our heavenly Father give good things to them that ask him (Matthew 7:11). You shall not miss your portion in Jesus name.
