GOD WILL HELP YOU

“For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed” (Isaiah 50:7).

God is our very present help, not only in trouble, but at all times (Psalms 46:1). He is ever willing to help us with all the resources available in heaven and earth (Psalms 121:2).

There are definite things we must expect when God’s help comes into operation. Today’s scripture points out three of such blessings. First, God’s help rescues us from being confounded. To be confounded is to be insulted, humiliated, disgraced, and reproached, leading to a state of confusion and trouble. But when God helps you, you shall not be confounded.

Secondly, God’s help takes away confusion and brings focus. To set your face like a flint is to be decisive, unmovable and resolute. When God releases help, you will be able to concentrate and achieve your goals. Paul received such help and testified thus: “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day” (Acts 26:22).

Finally, the Bible assures that God’s help delivers from shame. Isaiah was so sure that he would not be ashamed. The truth is that shame is never the will of God for His children. Therefore, He releases help that takes away shame.

Beloved, God will help you. Please believe it. While we may not know what situation the prophet was facing at the time, we discover that he believed that God would help him and declared so. Now, it is your turn to believe same and declare accordingly, just like the prophet did.
